Screen calibration

Anyone know how to calibrate the screen manually? On the Euro HD2s you can do this - Settings -> Menu -> All Settings -> System -> Screen.

But on T-mo HD2s, that Screen menu item doesn't exist. Coming from my Diamond, it's definitely an adjustment to get used to typing on a capacitive screen, I definitely prefer resistive screens.

Any ideas?

I've noticed that you can't use a stylus, only your finger...

You can't be serious.. I know you're probably kidding, but just in case - You do know this is a capacitive screen right? Not resistive like TPs and Diamonds etc.

It's funny because I never had to use a stylus on my Diamond's screen

Go to messaging or anywhere else where you can open up the keyboard. Click the little arrow next to the keyboard button to launch the options. Then Click on "Text input settings", then Tutorial and there you are :) Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how much this actually calibrates the screen though.. i want the old school screen calibration app back heh.

Now back to our regularly scheduled question =D>

The screen option in settings is hidden on the T-Mobile HTC HD2. You can make it visible in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Pen

Set the value of "Hide" to 0 (currently it is 1). Then the screen option will be visible in the system folder under all settings.

Hope this helps

I can see getting one for a small screen device like an original touch pro or a diamond... but as huge as the screen is for the HD2 it's kind of a waste

Awesome response HeyITried. Worked like a charm! Are there any other registry tweaks we don't know about? How did you discover this?
Thanks!
