Help with contract or no contract

I am going to get my HD2 tomorrow and I am wondering about the contract and no contract options. Up front $$$ is not a problem. I hear that if you are on contract, you get the subsidized price on smart phones every year but that is obviously not the case when you are not on contract. That seems very cool. However, it looks like you actually save $ in the long run going non-contract.... What would you do?

I don't mean to be rude in any way but there are plenty of posts about this all over, there's even an active discussion in this very forum. Did you try a search before you posted?

If you're just looking for opinions on what people would do, then maybe this thread needs a poll.

I'm doing the no-contract option, it's a no-brainer for me.

Re: Help with contract or no contract

lets do the math, buy the phone for $500 outright no contract . or pay 199 with a cancellation fee of $200 if you terminate your 2 year contract early. that adds up to $399 if you dont stay the whole 2 years , also T-mobile alows you to upgrade every 12 months! with buy one get one free till the 31st I am switching from verizion and getting 2 for my wife and I
hope this helps :)
