US T-Mobile HD2 HSPA+ ???

Has anyone seen any proof that the US T-Mobile HD2 will have the radio hardware to fully take advantage of the HSPA+ speeds?

Re: US T-Mobile HD2 HSPA+ ???

I read on one of the phone sites about 2 months ago that it was "capable" of HSPA+. That was a quote from someone at HTC. No news since that has confirmed it. I'm secretly hoping that its in the phone waint to be activated, but I have doubts.

I believe it's going to max out at 7.2mbps unfortunately. But we'll find out soon enough.

Re: US T-Mobile HD2 HSPA+ ???

I have been told by a few sources at tmobile that pretty much every smartphone that is currently 3g and those that will be released this year all are hspa+ capable. T-Mobile is slowly rolling out their 3g coverage because as they equip each tower for it, they are setting it up to be + ready.

OK I KNOW THIS DOES NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION,
but in a way, it kind of does

Keep in mind that all current T-Mobile Android phones support HSPA 7.2 which is compatible with the newer HSPA+ standard. We expect T-Mobile will have an Android handset with HSPA+ support by the end of this year.

While talking to a Tmo level-2 support rep to get my Visual voicemail fixed, He mentioned that the phone was indeed HSPA+ capable.

Re: US T-Mobile HD2 HSPA+ ???

Okay so most people know I work for radioshack. And I was the one who broke the story about the HD2 being released at Radioshack. Well I JUST spoke with the t-mobile rep who broke the news about the HD2 to me and he said that none of the current devices will work on 4g, but the 4g network should be up by the end of the summer. The 4G network being up means that as a t-mobile customer, you can roam on AT&T's towers, but only once the new network is up and running (which helps t-mobile out A LOT). T-Mobile has contracts with Comcast all over the country to install signal boosters and necessary wiring throughout major cities, for the t-mobile 4g debut. So I'm not joking, if you're in a major city and you see a Comcast truck working on electrical stuff, it's probably for t-mobile.

Comcast is everywhere here! I have a 24mbps internet connection with them currently. Looking forward to spending some time on T-Mobile even though I didn't sign a contract
