sprint hotspot, no good?

so its safe to say that the sprint hotspot app that comes with the phone is basically null unless i pay the $30/month? so that means im stuck with pdanet/easytethering right? well my phone is a tp2 with the wmwifirouter app and i can tether off that freely. so my question is can i use the same app for her shift? now i know 4g isnt in my area but sometimes i can pull 500k-1mb of downstream off my tp2, so is it safe to say i can do teh same with her phone?

not really true.. If you root your phone, and load a custom rom, then you can use the built in Sprint Hot Spot for free... Works like a champ too. Currently it only works with 3G.. but since that's all you get anyway.. shouldn't be a problem. Can't use WMWifirouter, not make for the android OPS yet.

I'm using PdaNet right now. Also have wireless tether installed. Both work great. I'm rooted, running stock sence rom.

wireless tether works as long as you are rooted. I use it on my evo and have rooted and installed on a coworkers shift.
