got replacment Evo and it is S-off?

Hello.
lomg time lurker, rare poster.
I had my EVo from 7/10 finally started showing age.
so I got a replacment through TEP.
it is a refurb unit, nothing really wrong, until i went to h-boot...
S-OFF, it has the GB and OTA:
supersonic evt2-3 ship s-off
hboot-2.16.0001
Radio-2.15.00.05.02

tried to bypass revolutionary S-OFF and just go through recovery- no go. so it is S-off but can't do much with it. Since sprint has been notified, I figured i might as well experiment with revolutionary... well I am rooted now by sprint/revolutionary :)...
in any case i can have my adblocker and back up!

If you have S-OFF, you don't need revolutionary.

Go to the market and install ROM MANAGER to install your custom boot loader. (I recommend installing the ALTERNATE RECOVERY, which is AMON-RA)

You can use that to install the rooted rom of your choice.
