EPST not working

I have tried several things in reference to this but i am on a stock rooted evo. The Stock OTA that was released recently. Ive been trying to access the EPST menu but i am unable to. Ive tried ##3282# and also ##8626337# and nothing. its just freezes on me. I dont get a force close message or anything just freezes.

Any help would be appreciated...

Try flashing the radio wimax prl combo, once you do that you may have to reflash your rom. I had a glitch like this as well as a few people I know. Best of luck to ya!

Alright thanks. I suppose a wipe data/cache will be necessary then...right? And to clarify...flashing the radio Wimax prl combo is using the PC36IMG.zip on the sdcard? Or is that something else completely?

Re: EPST not working

I'm confused because you said you took the new OTA update so how are you rooted? I can understand if you said you had downloaded the rooted custom stock ROM.

I would say that if you are on the OTA that you factory reset it and see if that fixes things, if you are on a rooted custom ROM then I would suggest that you re-download it and flash it again.

Be aware that messing with the radios and stuff can be bad so make sure that you read up on all that before doing it so you know the consequences.

Exactly what you said. You have to flash out from hboot. Best of luck.

Yes its the downloaded custom stock rooted. Sorry for not clarifying, you are completely correct.

And I really didn't want to go thru the whole flashing radio thing cuz any wrong thing can have severe consequences, and reflashing the ROM is just time consuming. Is there anything else potentially?

I know I may sound like I just want an easy fix. But I was just wondering if there was any way to avoid those 2 options but if they are the only way then fine...I will have to deal with it.

Unfortunately if you have to ask that question you shouldn't be tampering with flashing. Do some more homework, and when you get comfortable you should proceed. But you asked for help, people offered. So in short, there is no "easy" way.

I understand that part that's why I don't flash out of the hboot seeing as I had not done my homework on that aspect. The flashing ROMs part I've been doing for a while just never messed with the radio/Wimax/prl out of hboot.
