Hello i just bought a evo 4g went and tried to activate it and finaly the rep got it but one problem he said the phone must have previously been hacked it was showing all zeros on something. So i can make calls and receive texts but none of my internet apps or internet will work unless im on a wifi. Now my question is there away to wipe everything out and get it so it will work or am i sol? Thanks sorry if this is a repost i couldnt find one that looked exact to my situation.

it says error140 version bootloader version error. The rom update utility cannot update your android phone. Please get the correct rom update utility and try again. when i try and install the shipped rom? how do i find the correct one.

in htc sync it says my current system firmware is "4.22.651.2 cl60865 release-keys" when i try to use the shipped rom is says its going to update to 3.26.651. but it wont work. Thanks

Are you using one for the HTC Evo 4G or the HTC Evo 3D?

Then I would say you are not rooted. Have you checked to see if it has root and where did you buy the phone?

i bought it of ebay the guy said it was in new working order and nothing was wrong with it. i have not checked to see if it was rooted how do i do that?
