HTC EVO 4G and CDMA service in the ESMR band 800Mhz
HTC EVO 3D said to work in ESMR 800 Mhz CDMA. What about EVO 4G? Sprint CDMA 800 is what will replace Nextel. I have EVO 4G but where i live there is no cdma service but my wife gets full bars on Nextel. I was hopping for Sprint's New "Network Vision" to kick in but i am learming that i might have to upgrade to a newer phone.

Nextel is IDEN, IDEN is TDMA but local Sprint Store told me that Nextel will soon be CDMA so i am trying to make an educated decision to switch to Verizon or not. If i wait for that new Network from Sprint and My EVO 4G will work as good as Nextel would be awesome. But at the same time I dont want to wait a year for my upgrade for a "New Network" friendly Device.

OMJ is correct. The first esmr 800 MHZ "capable phone, is the samsung Trender. There are a total of 3, if I am not mistaken. Anyone buying a new phone, has to make sure, that their phone has this capacity. The HTC 3D, is also esmr capable. So, your phone has to have the esmr 800MHZ radio, pointed out by OMJ
