Stupid apps not being found. Is there a solution?
So I have had this problem with a normal sd card config and one partitioned with ext2. multiple roms. Multiple sd cards. The problem happens when doing massive app download. This latest time on doing update all on all the 40 apps that needed updates. The downloads get stuck/go slow as hell then when rebooting to try to get somewhere... apps on the sd card are not detected. The music, pictures, files etc are still accessible through their respective apps. However the apps that were installed app2sd are not detected as being installed. I did end up getting most of the sd card apps detected again by using settings then application manager. I uninstalled something and it seemed to scan and find them but it was taking so long that I interupted the scan and between that and clearing cache and dalvik cash via recovery menu... Many of my internal apps are not accessible including go launcher, navigation etc. I do have a working terminal app installed. I have looked high and low for sn answer, solution, cause of this and have not been able to find the answer does anyone know how to force it to rescan for the installed apps. Also my marketplace is broken and wouldn't install anything additional so a link to apk would be my only option of installing anything.
Thank you |
Re: Stupid apps not being found. Is there a solution?
I do find it takes a long time after startup to show all apps, and it can be a pain waiting, but the ones on sd do show up after a while. But I'm using app to sd app from market, and not partition or custom roms. If you're looking for some apks to apps you lost that were free on market shoot me a pm and Ill see If i have them or can get them. Also you can go to https://market.android.com/ on your pc and have apps pushed to your device. I don't have the market apk to help you out with that. after you do get market to work, any market app you instal thru an apk, market wont see it.
