Just get the sprint nexus s 4g and call it a day. The *nexus is Google's flagship device and has and will get the most offline third party support known to mankind. $$$

Re: Is there any other CDMA HTC that can beat EVO?
My co-worker just got a Thunderbolt. He is wrestling with his battery life. Like most of us, he started out running his phone like a Harley. He said his battery would lose 30% in 30 minutes.
He had fancy live wallpaper and everything turned on. It is the same processor with about 30% more RAM and 32 GB card out of the box/

Re: Is there any other CDMA HTC that can beat EVO?
If you want a phone that is similar in size to your diamond, go with the Evo Shift 4G. It's thicker, due to the slide out keyboard, but the screen is smaller, at 3.6", compared to the Evo's 4.3". It also has a faster processor, as it's a second gen snapdragon. I think the only thing is the Shift 4G comes with a 2GB micro sd, where the Evo came with an 8GB micro sd card.
And since the Evo 3D is right around the corner, I wouldn't recommend getting the Evo, but compared to your diamond, the Evo will seem like it's on steroids compared to whatever rom you are using on your diamond. But, since CM7 has WiMax support built in for the Evo, I've been on AOSP for a few months. I can't go back to Sense. If I were to get a phone in the next few months, I'd go with a Nexus S 4G. Native WiMax support, and vanilla Android. None of that silly bloatware that comes on the Sense/Touchwiz devices.

Re: Is there any other CDMA HTC that can beat EVO?
While the Hero isn't a bad phone, when compared to the other 3, it's no contest. Don't get the Hero. It just doesn't have the horsepower of the other 3. The incredible and Evo are identical, with respects to speed, as they have the same processor. The shift will be the fastest, as well as smoother at running games, due to the faster processor.

Evo shift > evo 4g > Incredible > Hero (remember this is raw hardware only) Question boils down to how long you can wait..

To the OP, if you plan on stay on Sprint may as well just wait on the Evo 3D. The Evo is the best HTC phone on SPRINT right now... and if you dont plan on changing carriers i'd just wait. |
