Flash over to MetroPCS?

I'm trying to save some money and I figured I could save $30 a month by flashing my EVO over to MetroPCS. My only concern is that I hear MMS and Data don't work afterward and some tweaking is neccessary to get them running again. Could somebody direct me to a guide or explain the process to me? Oh and yes, I realise Metro doesn't have 3G or use WiMAX.

-Thanks.

Re: Flash over to MetroPCS?

First, Metro-PCS 4G is LTE so I doubt you will never make that work.

I went into their store a month ago to buy a cable. The saleman started touting about how cheap they were. He said they have an unlimited 4G data plan for $50!!! He went on to tell me how fast LTE was compared to WiMax. I asked for a demo but he could not get 4G from the store. Hmmmmmm....

I then told him I have 4 people on my plan with two EVOs. What would that cost me on Metro-PCS. He said, $200. plus some local taxes. I told him that I pay less than $150 for my unlimited plan and I am able to get 4G in his store. A perspective customer was standing there with a demo phone and quietly set it down and left.
