Couple of quick questions,

About to jump into the world of evo.

I know that i will eventually flash like 20 times by end of this week but I wanted to know what you guys are using and wanted to see if you had any recommendations for me.
Which rom has all the fancy whistles and bells, latest updates, great battery life and look nice? Also speed is important to me so 4g is a must have and I need verizon radio if this is possible on this phone.

Thank you so much guys, hopefully you can assist me with these questions.

Re: Couple of quick questions,

what do you mean you need a verizon radio? this is a spritn device and will roam as well so that should cover you... as for roms im currently running mikfroyo... other good ones out there is phillyfinest, caulklins, sprint lovers, vins plutonium, and many others by the talented chefs.

Re: Couple of quick questions,

sprint roaming doesn't work at my house for some reason and airave is having hardest time working... My friend's incredible however gets 2 bars in my house. I remember back in the days of WM, you can flash different carrier's radio. I thought i read it here some where as well but did I misunderstood?

from your mikfroyo will get my first shot because you mentioned it.
I know vin makes very solid roms (had his rom since tp2 days)

how are the battery lifes on these roms from your experience?

Re: Couple of quick questions,

There are ways to flash other carrier's radios, but you essentially have to spoof the ESN on their network, which is illegal.

Re: Couple of quick questions,

here is the thread with a list of just about all roms, pick your flavor between 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 roms, just go to each thread and see what interests you, and your going to have to try different kernels to see which one works for you or ask in the thread of the rom you are using on which one is working the best and getting the best battery life.
