Stupid Parsing Error!
Hello,
Well lastnight was somewhat productive. After hours of reading I finally decided I would try to root my evo 4g. Using Unrevoked, I rooted it. I then backed it up using Nandroid. I decided that I wanted to try the most recent version of the MIUI rom. I was able to get it on my phone but I've noticed that anytime I've tried to download something from market I get the following: Parse Error There is a problem parsing the package. Is there something else I need to flash or update? perhaps something on the phone doesn't match up with something on the rom? (sorry, in a hurry and best way to describe it at this time) Thanks alot! |
Re: Stupid Parsing Error!
I would reflash the ROM. I am not familiar with that one so I can't speak to its issues. But before you flash, do a good wipe. Wipe Dalvik and Data. Do it three times. Then reflash. It was probably errant cach data that is biting you.

Re: Stupid Parsing Error!
You need to use the Caulkin's format all .zip before installing the MIUI roms or you will have errors like that. It states that right in the FAQs. You flash the format all .zip and then don't reboot, flash the rom then reboot. Then go back to recovery and flash the gapps.zip.
