Charger/Charging question

I have noticed a problem...I think it's a problem... I use my phone a lot. Almost all day. I had the stock battery with juice defender and screen turned down extremely low and I was pligged into outlet. Phone would not stay charged. So I ordered a 3500 battery to help me with this problem. My question is...If I am plugged into the wall shouldn't that keep the phone going? I have had phone die on me quite a few times now.

Re: Charger/Charging question

Could be the same problem I just had. I literally just received a warranty replacement EVO last night due to the charging port on my old EVO biting the dust. I constantly had my EVO connected to my USB for charging and also to use PDAnet. The charging port on the EVO seems to be really cheap. I used my old TP2 in the same manner, and never had an issue with the charging port. The problem got so bad that my EVO wouldn't even charge anymore. I could literally have it charging all day and take it off the charger and immediately I'd get all types of warnings telling me that my EVO was about to run out of juice. The problem still hasn't been fixed with the new EVO because I don't have a good USB cable. I bought this crap all-in-one charger at Target but it constantly connects and disconnects. I awoke this morning to a dead EVO because, despite the fact that I had the EVO charging, somehow the connection wasn't properly made. Highly pissed. So now I'm going to have to head to a Sprint store today to get a new USB cable.

Re: Charger/Charging question

The phone could die while charging if you are using it heavily and the battery is draining faster than charging. More than likely it is a bad charger or bad charging port like the Dr. suggested.

Re: Charger/Charging question

I called HTC because I found the cord to be defective. They sent me a replacement under warranty.
