Flashing EVO back from Boost to Sprint..??
 

So a friend of mine bought a Boost Mobile'd EVO off of Craigslist and wants to use it on his Sprint plan... So obviously it was flashed to Boost and he can't figure out how to get it back to Sprint's service so he asked me for help.. My guess is it would just be the reverse of however it was done.. But since the way to do it is considered illegal to some, I can't find shit anywhere on how to do this... Someone mentioned CDMA Workshop, others mentioned some QPST program, but I'm stumped... Any help would be appreciated..

Just flash a stock Rom. It will provision it back to sprint

It would still have a boost ESN..do boost phones work on sprint?

I thought as long as you change the prl to a sprint one manually after you flash you should be ok

sprint will only activate sprint esn's
if all else fails check youtube

try ##786# and do a reset. if memory serves me correct, that will replace the boost esn with the original sprint evo esn.

We tried that and it didn't work... Took it to boost store and the dude said we'd have to pay $100 to flash it back to sprint, wtf... I'm DEFINITELY not paying some insurgent for something that has to be documented how to be done somewhere on the interwebz lol...

I understand why it is considered illegal, but that's neither here nor there, it should be up to that person whether they still wanna proceed with how to do it or not and suffer consequences if need be...

Also, I found a how to but it's for the Epic and I hear that's diff than the Evo in tons of ways so it probably won't work.. smh..

the Illegal Stuff has already been done @ modding the ESN for Boost to begin with..

Changing the esn back to its orginal state would be considered "taking the steps to make it Legal" again... afterall its not like you guys modded it, your merely trying to restore the phone to its proper state

Sorry it doesn't work that way...think of it like having a license..even if you do something to fix something unlicensely done...you still need a license...

I read on tons of forums that the legal vs illegal thing is overwith as of January 1st this year, supposedly now whatever you do to YOUR own PERSONAL phone is nobodys business but your own... Great news, but still don't think anyone knows how to do this right..?? The Boost guy said it's the exact opposite of flashing from sprint to boost, but i can't find out how anywhere..!?!?!
