EVO 4G Rainbow LED modification
 

i also replaced the charge light with blue and the charged light with white
i will not post a "Do It Yourself" unless you ask. i dont want people taking apart there evo's if they have no experience with at least soldering and precision tools.

-note, the back button is actually purple and the search is a darker blue. i dont know why it shows that way on the picture,which was taken from another evo 4g

that looks good and ive got the skills... .could you share where you got the parts and such as you were describing.... taken and fixed many evos before so familiar with them..

good job, i haven't messed around with LEDs much since the Nextel days. I did however change the TP and the Pre back a few years.

I got the parts on ebay 8 different colors 10 of each color 10$ shipped to hawaii
They are called surface mount led 0603 if im not mistaken
Must use a flat soldering iron tip.dab with water before installing

radio-shack carries the LED's but only 4 colors

Is the only way to do this to replace the led's? Or can you do it like the tp/tp2 where you put gel light filters or just paint the surface with markers for different colors?
