Contacts showing as (Unknown) in Call History after backup restore.

I created a backup with My Backup Pro, then did a full wipe before installing a new ROM. After, I signed into my Google Account and restored my backup.

Some of the contacts in my Call History show up as (Unknown) while others show the correct name. All of the contacts come from my Google Account and do link to Facebook. All of the numbers that show up as (Unknown) DO have a contact in my People list with the same number. Prior to the wipe, ALL of the numbers in my Call History had a name attached.

Any way to sync things back up easily?

Make sure you have all your accounts reconfigured that you had before. For example, some contacts are pulled in from Facebook. If you turn off FB Sense and reboot, it will loose the link to those contacts.

Watch what you wish for. I have 3600 friends on Facvebook and they all invaded my People widget.

I'm not talking about the People widget. I'm referring to the People app that lists ALL contacts. All of my contacts ARE there, but names and pics are not showing up in Call History. They are there as (Unknown).

Same thing happens after I run a restore when I upgrade or switch ROMs, some of the call history shows unknown some shows the correct name. Not a big deal to me since I don't really need to refer to the call history to much.

A couple of them showed up after I called the contact, others didn't.

the problem is you probably save your contacts as phone contacts and when you restore them from my backup pro it restores them as google contacts what you can do is do an export of your contacts and rename the file from “googlesomething.vcf” to “pcsc_pcsc_00001.vcf” then delete all your contacts and then import them from the contacts and select the “pcsc_pcsc_00001.vcf” file

Incorrect on my end. All of my contacts are Google contacts and when I do a restore ALL my contacts show up as unknown.
