Swype Keyboard from 3.70.651.1 update
 

Does anyone know how to disable the Swype keyboard. I enabled it after I got the update but now I want to go back to my old one and I can't figure out how.

When you are getting ready to type hold your finger on screen and select "input method". Then you can change it. If you want to turn it off completely you go into settings and select keyboard and unselect the swype keyboard. Hope that helps.

go to an input field like compose or recipient in your text messages click the field so that it brings up your keyboard. once your cursor is blinking tap and long hold a blank space til it asks you to select an input method then select something other than swype

LOL I'm with you bro... I did the same thing and I didn't like swype at all then I tried to turn it off and it kept not going off. It took me like 5 hours to get it off permanently... I had to go to settings applications swype and push forceclose... it hasn't come on since.

Go to any text screen do a long press and select another Input method. If you are rooted, you can delete it.

I was hoping someone had extracted the apk. I wouldn't mind having the keyboard, but i don't feel like leaving the comfort of myn's two point two ROM.

Just sign up for it on swype.com. Right now they are sending you the link immediately for the swype installer if you use android.

I have gotten pretty good at it. I was slow texting but have this swype thing working good.
