Mandatory Voicemail Update?
 

Yesterday afternoon my phone gave me a notification that there was a mandatory voicemail available. I click on it and it searched but then says no updates available. The notification won't go away. Anyone else have this problem?

It says I have Voicemail version V.5.1.0.32

Stock everything.

Might have something to do with the free month evaluation of text voice mail.

I will not update this on my phone. I like to hear the voice of person calling. There is much that would be missed in persons voice that is calling us for work in home or business Do not to also pay for text mail. Too many missed spelled words and numbers because not everyone speaks cleakly and without accents

Yeah, I do not and it sucks.

Why don't you want to do the update? sooner or later you'll have to do it. It doesn't hurt anything. You don't have to accept the trial option. Its just an Option. If you don't like sprint voicemail then get google voice and you can set your phone to go through google voice instead of sprint.

I am not sure if we are on the same page. I am pissed that Sprint is trying to get me to Subscribe to Voice To Text every time I go to Voice mail!!

The only time you see the subscription question for free trial is when you go into settings. You never see it if you just open voicemail to check your voicemail. Its not that big of a deal. The update helps your voicemail. Its not forcing you to pay anything.

each time you click on a voicemail when it plays it tells you to do the trial

I see what your saying. When you go to play the voicemail it tells you. Just switch to google voice then. I switched over and I haven't looked back. You get alot of cool features with g voice. You guys should try it.
