So far i havent like my evo, i have 30 days to return, but if i do, do i have to activate another phone or what, i bought it at sprint and i wanna return it and buy another 1 at radioshack, but my main question is am i able to go to sprint to get my money back and then go to radio shack to buy another 1?

Reason is im hoping radioshack has an older version of the evo to root it bc i have hbot 2.02

Why don't you just follow the instructions and root your phone.

You followed all the steps or you got scared. There are no old phones for sale any more. Unless you buy one of Ebay or get a refurb. These phones are always out of stock so when they get new ones in their straight from HTC and they are going to be the new version.

LmAo its not that i dont like it , its that i cant root it bc i have the new model

and plus the new htc knight 4g its coming out ima return the evo for it

I rooted both of the Evos we bought last weekend from a Sprint store. 3.30.651.3, 004, 2.02 hboot. Worked perfectly.

I honestly have not found a reason to root this phone yet (other than for WiFi tethering) it just works, unlike my old TP2 that needed to be flashed just for it to work properly.
