Fix Permissions error - Rom manager & Rooted 3.30.651.3

Rom manager gives this error when trying to run Fix Permissions.

"An error occurred while attempting to run a privileged command"

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it - no go.

It worked fine on 3.30.651.2

I re-flashed 3.30.651.3 again - no go.

I nanrestored 3.30.651.2 - works fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Jeff

PS - yes, I am fully rooted.
PSS - yes it's the premium version

Why do you need to fix permissions? I found an sh file that said it fixed permissions, but then my data stopped working.....so I just re-installed, and everything is normal again.

Are you getting a lot of FORCE CLOSE notices?

Actually, I am getting a large number of forced close messages. Also, it takes a really long time to install an app. Not download,m but the installation process. Before fix permissions cured that.

I agree with WC. You must have full root. Some people just have unrevoked only and this is not a full root.

Re: Fix Permissions error - Rom manager & Rooted 3.30.651.3

It's full root - trust me on that. I did not do unrevoked, I went old school.
Again 3.30.651.2 and below work just fine. All other functions work just fine too.

I'm going to try the rom suggested here.

You are correct. I have the same Rom and just decided to run Fix Permissions and I got the message, "An Error has Occured while attempting to run priviledged commands."

I did not get this under .2

yes, I did. I am not too worried about it. I assumed it was just a defect in the Rom Manager.

I'm pretty sure the newest unrevoked is fully rooted. I did unrevoked3 with my evo and have not had any restrictions as far as nandroid backup's or installing any kernals or roms. When i first rooted with unrevoked3 i couldnt get the rom manager to work properly until i installed a different kernal. It worked perfectly after that. I am currently using myn's warm twopointtwo RLS3 right now. Is there any way to truely test if i'm fully rooted?

Ok so apparently the revoked method is fully rooted now. I do have a superuser icon and quickboot does get me to recovery mode. I was able to remove sprint stuff by using titanium backup.
