I hooked up my evolution to my TV tonight. All I get is no signal message on TV with any app. What apps work?

no apps work. you can only watch videos and streaming online videos that use the default video player.

So I can't watch sprint TV or post season baseball or anything? I guess the video player will automatically activate the HDMI port?

OK so I found a web site that played video using the default video player but it didn't play over HDMI. What is going on?

hi,
i dont have the cable yet, but my pal at sprint gave me this info for movies...
go get dolphinhd browser....then go to "iphonemovies.net"
make the site think you are on a iphone and you can get all kinds of movies including 1st run....
let me know what ya think

That site is gone last time I checked. I have another site for movies.

Just read an article that says:

"When you plug the cable into the phone, a small "HDMI" icon appears in your alert bar. Unfortunately, the TV doesn't mirror the phone's UI. Only videos and slideshows play on the TV - the rest of your content is stuck on your phone, including still images, games, and presentations."

I DO NOT get the HDMI ICON on my alert bar... ANy ideas??

As of this time, the only video or pics that play through the HDMI is the stock you tube player, and any video or pictures that you took with the phone or loaded on the sd card that will play through the stock video player. The droid has a hack that allows everything to play through the HDMI but no hack for HTC devices yet.
