Phone lagging when 4G is on
 

Has anyone noticed their phones lagging when 4G is on? I think I started noticing this sometime after the latest update. Every time I turn on 4G, I do get a signal, but then everything starts lagging... scrolling, opening/closing apps, moving between screens, etc.

It gets so annoying that the only solution I can find is to reboot. Even if I turn 4G off, the phone continues to lag. It never lags when on 3G only or wifi.

Is this a known issue? any ideas? I couldn't find any threads on this particular issue, but I have found reports about it in other forums. Thanks.

Non-rooted Evo, 2.2, build 3.29.651.5

I had problems with lagging on wifi with the stock rom. i am running a custom rom based off 3.29 now with no problems.

I noticed lag on 4G as well. I thought it was the custom Rom I was running, guess not.....

Same problems here, I noticed it on 2.1 as well. I always just use 3g even in 4g areas, because my phone seems to get slow, confused and batt life sux. The upside is that for some reason 3g seems alot faster in 4g coverage areas.

It could be the htc kernel. i have no 4g lagging problems running Calkulins 1.3.1 with kingxkernel 11.

I haven't noticed any lag at all while on 4g, I am running omj's 3.5 with the stock kernel.

i notice it sometimes too. usually fixed w/ a reboot. even back when i was on 2.1

Yep, mine lags like crazy even when I have full bars on 4G.

In NYC here, every time I turn on 4g phone begins to lag. Thought it was just me. Even after I turn 4g off it continues to lag until I reboot.

Same exact situation here as well... Even after turning off 4g it continues to lag, until a reboot :(
