Not getting phone calls or text
 

Something weird happened to my phone. Since Sunday, I haven't been able to get phone calls or texts. I've been receiving email just find though. When someone would call, it would go straight to voicemail and say the user's voicemail wasn't setup. That was using google voice. I switched back to sprint's voicemail, and then at least people could leave a message. For texts, I tested sending one from sprint's website and that worked. Everyone else's texts I didn't received. I can call out and text to anyone just fine. I'm gonna try to test some more things out, but I was seeing if anyone had ideas on why this started happening.

Are you using the new Airave aka Airvana? I was having this issue with mine...couldn't make calls, recieve calls or do any texting. Since I have the device every time I tried to dial it would just sit there then go back to the dialing screen...

I had something similar happen to me. My phone stopped receiving calls and texts. Everything outgoing was fine and when I sent messages it would bring in messages previously sent to me.

The signal bars dropped from a few to none unless I was using the web or sending a text or making a call. I took it to two repair centers the first couldn't fix it and said t had to be the network.. not the case. the issue went on for almost a week. The second repair shop did some testing and said the phone basically was unseen by the network unless it was in use.. They gave me a replacement, its a refurb but its been good so far.

I spent three hours at the sprint store after spending the previous two days talking to sprint on the phone for a total of three hours. They said they did every trouble-shooting thing they could. Finally, they gave up and gave me a new phone. The new phone still the same thing. It must be something connected with my phone number. They sent the problem to the escalations team. A rep from there said it was a tower being down. It weird though it that was true, then a whole lot of other people would be having the same problem. Someone is supposed to be calling me tomorrow to follow up. We'll see, i guess.

i was having a similar problem with mine while in Airave coverage. everyone here tried to convince me i broke it while rooting and it turned out to be a problem on sprints end. it was escalated to an 'engineer' and a couple days later it started working again. im not sure what sprint did exactly but i hadnt undone anything with my and it started working.
