Amon RA only use sdcard folder for files..??
 

It seems like Amon RA only allows me to flash zip's that are on the root of my sdcard... Isn't there a way to flash files in different folders using Amon RA like we can do in Clockwork Mod..??

No. I've actually talked to him about this. Its a feature he doesn't feel is necessary, and I tend to agree.

To each his own, because I disagree... Honestly, how hard could it be to implement into what is already there..??

Problem seems to be also that Amon RA is a larger recovery and some people have issues flashing it when their recovery partition contains errors and it doesn't fit..

Amon Ra at least lets you plug your phone in and manipulate your files.. Wipe actually works too.

Being able to flash from folders is nice, I guess, but it can get confusing really quickly too. You could just set up folders, boot into recovery and enable mass storage and move whichever zip you want to flash to the root of the sdcard on an individual basis.

Until you download a rom and forget to transfer it and have to boot back up after clearing data and wait through your phone re-setting up just to download a file manager and copy the file over. (assuming your not near a computer and or don't have a reader.) but all in all as long as you know its not a HUGE deal.

Honestly, i can't remember the last time i used a computer to flash a rom. You can just download it from the browser on the phone and move files however you need to.

yea i see that as no biggie. Amon recovery is great,i agree with him it is unnecessary .DL cut and paste pretty simple.

Yeah well I just like to be organized.. Roms in one folder, Themes in another, Fonts in another, Backgrounds in another, ect ect ect... So to have everything all crammed on the root just seems untidy to me (and many others as well) so I just thought I'd throw it out there...

I see your point like in WM days. I found Clockworkmod not wiping everything and came to this recovery and had no more problems.

Exactly..!!

CWM didn't wipe everything for me either that's why I chose to go with Amon RA instead, but I'm just a nice/neat person and like things to be organized so it's just an extra few steps to drag shit in and out of folders when if the option was already there, it'd save some time...
