Issues with video playback.
So before the OTA 2.2 I had some wmv video files that played flawlessly on the EVO but after the update to 2.2 now the same files play all choppy and it crashes in the middle of the video throwing an "Sorry... cannot play this video" error.
Is this a known issue on the 2.2 version or is just happening to my EVO? any ideas on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance... |
Re: Issues with video playback.
Try taking the videos off your card and put them back on.. worth a shot

Re: Issues with video playback.
Some of the movies I ripped were playing choppy able 2.2, I reloaded and they became friendly.

Re: Issues with video playback.
OR...give it the xtra effort...and convert them to a format that is "friendlier" to the O/S...
try Handbrake...and use the "Universal" preset profile...works flawlessly on my setup. |
Re: Issues with video playback.
Reloading the files didn't work... converting the wmv files to mp4 with handbrake improved considerably the quality, still a little choppy but not as much as it was before the conversion.
I still think something is wrong, these wmv files played perfectly before the OTA 2.2 I'll have to do some more research... Thanks all for you help! |

Posted this in this thread:
I've read on other message boards that since the fps fix data was not passing to the included class 2 microSD card fast enough and was causing choppy recording in 720p. Some claimed that using a class 4 microSD card fixed it but I can not confirm it. |
