Help!!need unrooted stock rom
 

micro usb port wont work and got to return my evo to sprint. is there a way to flash the stock unrooted rom from the phone?

You can email the file from above post it will ask if you want ti install attachment on sd card.

?? not sure what u r saying here ... its an RRU you hook it up to the PC

Just install one of the older one posted in the upgrades section. You will lose root and then you can upgrade it to 2.2 if you want even.

so if i email the attachment to my phone i can install the rom from there. sorry im confused?

Can't email...you can email the link but the ruu won't run. It seems best to install from a zip. I'm sure you have a microsd adapter

i tried looking for the zip of the official stock 2.2 froyo rom but no luck

How about a zip for the older ones? The ota will happen once a sprint Rom is detected.

It's doesn't need to be 2.2 when you submit it, they don't care about version

It's true.

If you could run the RUU you would be totally fine, but without a micro-usb connection I'm not sure how you could un-root.

Of course... there are... *ahem* ... alternatives:
