Stock 2.2 Root/Recovery issue
Hopefully this isn't a repeat question as I couldn't find any relavent threads...
I attempted rooting my phone last night via unrevoked and with his instructions. Everything wss fine up to flashing the recovery. The instructions said this part would repartition the SD but when I go into format ext, etc,I get the error that it doesn't exist. when I try loading the recovery, the "flashing" page shows for a fractionof a second so I can't see what's going on. Did I mess something up or do I need to fix something? I loaded Fresh ROM, and I would think it would be setup for A2SD but I don't have it...that's why I ask. I have all the recovery menu options, just no SD Ext... |
Re: Stock 2.2 Root/Recovery issue
I am guessing you have evo says that at bottom but at top under Sig it says Hero. Are you doing this on Hero? Maybe why no reponse. If you are , do you have a XDA account? they are the sometimes more help.

Reffering to the unrevoked wiki at http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.p...lic/unrevoked2 At this time, unrevoked3 does NOT work on stock Froyo (Android 2.2) phones. Not saying it didn't work for you, but it didn't work for me. I had to downgrade, root according to the guide on XDA, then applied the full ruu of stock 2.2 from htc, similar to Boo Boo's post. According to a recent twitter post on unrevoked, they are working on it and should be available in version 3.2. -CC |
