keyboard lags then works later
 

does anyone else have this problem sometimes when i goto text i press the keys but nothing comes out and i can keep pressin it and nothing will come out until after a lil while
this doesnt happen in texting only it happens in all places where i need to type like the browser too
does anyone know how to fix this because it is really annoying having to wait to text

I have this issue too. I don't know what triggers it, but it is highly annoying.

What rom are you guys running? I'm using Netarchy's stock rooted rom, with his 4.1.8 bfs kernel, and I haven't had that issue. I didn't experience that issue prior to flashing his 4.1.8 bfs kernel, either.

Are you using the stock keyboard, or one from the market?

I had the exact same issues with using the BFS kernel. If you are on that kernel, I would suggest trying the CFS kernel. It cleared things up immediately for me and I have had no nagging issues like that since.

Make sure to wipe cache/dalvik when flashing between BFS and CFS kernels.

If using stock, delete old msgs that you don't need. Also in the browser, clear cache, etc.

Old msgs take up space and use resources (ram) on the phone. Deleting them (or backing them up) frees up that space for new incoming/outgoing msgs.

I have stock rom/kernal. Using swype keyboard, only have about 100 texts total. It does it with the default keyboard as well, however.

having issues with it right now. it sucks because i never had this problem until froyo. i started noticing it right away. wtf!
