HDMI out not working! Please Help!!
 

I just got my Micro HDMI cable type D from Dealextreme and when I plugged into my phone and TV, nothing plays at all.

I'm trying to play a video that I recorded....not something off youtube or anything and it still doesn't work.

I'm on froyo if that has anything to do with it. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong?

does it say "hdmi plugged in" in the notification area when you plug the phone into the tv?

might be a bad cable.

I am betting that it is a bad cable. Or is it possible that the port is disabled?

There's not much that will play through HDMI out... Youtube triggers it somehow.. Try youtube

Yeah the hdmi icon shows up in the notification bar.

I figured it out....I read on another forum somewhere that the TV has to be turned off first before you plug the HDMI cable in. I did that and it worked like a charm. I was even able to play the episodes of Weeds that I have on my phone!! Love this phone!!! :headbang:
