Setcpu question evo with custom rom

Ok i am running cyanogenrom along with snap 7.0 kernel.I am new to setcpu and really do not understand the settings real well.

Here is my setup.

I have Screen off at 384/128 power save

I have Battery 100% 998/384 interactive

1 have charging full 1267/128 ondemand

Now the question i have is once i take the phone off charger and it drops to 99% the settings of 998/384 interactive take over the whole time i am on and i understand why cause of profile #2

But with running the snap 7.0 kernel is this a good setting? or is 998 a little to slow? and is 384 a little high? battery life has been so/so and i want to get the most out of overclocking.

screen is a tiny bit slow at times but i have a live wallpaper going but it does not use much.

Anyway thanks for reading and any help for a setcpu noob would be helpful.

I am also running CM6 with the Snap V7 kernel. Here is the short answer on overclocking. Obviously it will make your phone faster, but it isn't going to be doing your battery any favors.
If you are looking for battery life a high of 998 and a low of 128 is going to be your best bet. But if you truly want more power out of your phone then start scaling the CPU up until you find a setting you like, just know its going to kill your phone faster.

Also, check for the new Snap kernel. There is already a beta out with AVS which is supposed to be a battery saver. I would check that out on XDA

Yeah I don't doubt that at all, but it really all depends on how you use the device.

Screen off 384max 245min priority 100 Conservative

Temp > 50C 460max 245min Priority 98 Conservative

Charging full 1152 max 245min priority 96 Conservative

Battery < 20 768max 245min priority 88 Conservative

Battery <100 1152max 245min priority 84 Conservative

Phone should never be below 245 or above 1152 for stability issues. Conservative is a good mix between power and performance. This is what I use, not that it is the best, but it is the best haha.

Should never go below 245 for stability issues? Mine has been set to a low of 128 for a while now and have had no issues, not to mention that I overclock above 1152 periodically and also have no issues. I don't think its fair to say that 245 is as low as you can go and that 1152 is as high as you can go, although those a good places to start, it should be known that it really just depends on what your specific phone can and cannot handle.
