How to schedule a greeting

Ok If you go to your voicemail and press option 3 to change your greeting it will allow you record a greeting delete a greeting and also use another greeting for your default greeting. You can personalize and record up to 3 different greetings. Now if you press 8 it will tell you the greeting schedule for instance greeting 1 will play m-f 8am -11:49am then it says greeting 2 will play the remainder of time that greeting 1 doesn't cover and greeting 3 is not programmed. I would love to know how to change the greeting schedule I have taken the phone in to sprint. I have talked to sprint tech support and the are clueless on what I'm talking about. I would love to be able to change the schedule. For instance I do mobile computer repair and I want to have greeting 1 to start monday - Friday at 7:00am - 7:00pm Greeting 2 after 7:00pm - 7:00am then I would like to use greeting 3 on saturday - sunday all day. If anybody can help I would really really apperciate. I have searched and searched and can not find anyway to change the schedule its like nobody knows it exists. Any suggestions thanks

you can look into YouMail... custom greetings-even individual contact custom greetings.. its free, and its free on sprint for the conditional call forwarding for using YouMail for voicemail.. Im not sure if it has scheduling though..

and seriously if sprints voicemail has this feature, ive been a cutomer for 10 years and now feel stupid for not knowing it existed lol

Re: How to schedule a greeting

Update: Sprint tech called me up today and said the voice mail issue was solved he said that the scheduled greetings were replaced by the ability to set up a number of days to have your custom greeting to play. for example my greeting that I play for my customers on the weekend when I set that to active it now ask how many days do I want it to be activated I said 2 so apparently at 11:00pm on sunday night my greeting is going to change to my default greeting if that works. I just have to set it up every friday no big deal. Can you guys check your voice mail and I'm curious as if it has changed as well I assume it has but want to make sure thanx.

i know i hate it when someone answers my question with a you should check out BLAH BLAH BLAH when you are talking about SPRINT voicemail...

But i suggest you check out google.com/voice. Their voicemail app is one of the best I have used, and I have been using it for a long time (first public beta) and now it is available for everyone for free (still)

With GROUP greetings, you should be able to accompllish exactly what you are tying to do from a browser or possibly the app.
I Don't know if they are time/date driven but I use the GROUPS messages and it allows different people that get different messages/greetings and it is very simple to change greetings.

And the ability to see/preview/delete and so on all messages from the app makes life so much easier...
