Screen lock not reliable after Froyo update

Since the Froyo update (I had to do the RUU thing), my screen lock is not reliable. I use the draw pattern and it used to be there 100%.
Now, if I turn off my screen, (doing so now), turn it back on and touch the screen, it'll tell me the screen is locked. I swipe my thumb down the screen(doing so now) and I am at my main screen. Sometimes, randomly, it'll bring up the dots but more often than not, it goes straight to the main screen.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I have the pattern lock and I updated to 2.2 the day it came out and have not had this problem. Have you tried:
- Reseting your pattern passcode?
- Are you using a different Home? (openHome, LauncherPro)
- Does it do this when trying a number pin?

I would definitely suggest taking off the pattern lock completely, power off your phone, turn it back on and then enable the pattern lock again. I don't think it has anything to do with the FroYo update, but I could be wrong.

Not sure if you have seen this or not but with the update they added the option on when the pattern, pin, or password lock would activate.....I think that by default it was set at "After 3 min" or "After 5 min", but I would check that setting and set it to "Immediately" since it sounds like thats what you want.

Edit: It's under Settings -> Security-> Lock after

Thanks. It was that Immediate thing.

I'm glad they finally gave a time limit, that was one thing that drove me crazy about Android.

I got naughty pics of the wife. Can't have the kids picking up the phone and taking the un-escorted tour.
