Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
So I was driving to Florida and the EVO FEEL IN A CUP IF WATER!
I dried it out on the dashboard but there is still a water stain on the upper left corner. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? |
Re: Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
take the back off and take the battery out and put it in a bowl of regular rice

Re: Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
I understand that sticking the phone in a bowl of rice for 24 hours or so may help dehydrate the phone. If the stain is actually water under the glass, this may help. I've never had this problem and am not entirely sure your stain is water, but thought I'd throw it out there.
Gary beat me to it yeah, I forgot about the battery part. Take that out. |
Re: Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
I had water under my EVO screen a few weeks back. I removed the battery and did rice for a while, silica gel packs for a while, and had it outside in the heat (not in direct sunlight) for a while. It took two days, but all blemishes under screen went away.

Re: Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
Take out battery take off cover put it in the oven at the lowest possible setting about 170 degree's for about 2 hours. Let cool overnight then try it. I work on electronics for a living and I wash and bake circuit boards with soap and water all the time. Just be sure to bake out and let cool leaving the cover off allows the water to evaporate. DO NOT BAKE ANY HIGHER THAN 170.

Re: Ok so...EVO fell into a cup of water
Well I took the battery out and put all of the pieces on the dash of the car...it is HOT here...
THe water mostly evaporated but I still had a water stain on the upper left-hand corner of the screen. That was on Thursday night. I just looked at it now on Sat morning and it looks fine. I hope I am not imaging things:) I wonder if the Zagg protected it any? How can I check it to see if it is truly dried out? I powered off and back on so that the screen would be white. Any other ideas on how to see the screen better? Thanks for all of the suggestions! |
