After I launch it I can see it says Sprint Navigation Premium at the top.

contact Sprint sometimes they are real slow in provisioning your phone with TeleNav

When I launch Sprint Nav, it doesn't say either Premium or Lite.
In the About Sprint Navigation menu I see the following:

Hello, I just checked mine and mine is premium. Did you ever go and register on the website? I did a long time ago with other phone. You can go into diagnostic tools in the share and more section and mine says service code plan: tn_nerva_unlimited. So I guess that might be the premium also my version is 2.8.0.1098 hope this helps. Also go to the support thing and see if it says cancel subscription. Mine shows a pin which is the last four numbers of my phone number. Oh Yeah I am Stock all the way.

Still no sign as to whether or not my Sprint Nav is premium or lite. I have signed up online and launched the app again, nothing. I ran the diagnostic tool and my service plan code is PDSNAVCO so still not sure.

I was about to call Sprint early this morning because my phone showed "Sprint Navigation Lite" (no voice when I logon). I waited instead. Just logged on. Now says "Sprint Navigation" (now with voice).

Sprint Nav is normally a system read-only app however it was made available to uninstall for people who wish to remove it. Since you uninstalled it you most likely deleted any settings/cached items in relation to it. I am not sure what exact version you installed after you deleted the original one in my rom but mine works perfectly and is "Sprint Navigation" version 2.8
