Evo Sends Me "Unlocking Sim Card" Message....Why?
 

my friend was trying to unlock my phone after getting the pattern wrong a number of times a pop up message appeared on my screen saying Unlocking sim card. why would this message even be there if its a cdma phone with no obvious sim card slot?

wow that's really weird... are you running a custom ROM? could be whoever made the ROM might have used some android files from a GSM ROM.

could be ROM or software you have installed - check your processes if you can, see what causes it.

Ahhh......reminds me of the only thing that i truley miss about my tp2......cdma and gsm radios.....if the evo had that id never need another phone ever again......im gonna say that the rom you are using is causing that message......it would be interesting to find out though for sure...

The funny thing is the message only pops up when i slide the top first 3 dots (-1-2-3-) 5 times in a row Ex.

lol that'll be a find, unlock sim by sliding across 5 times lol, i tried getting my pattern lock wrong with different patterns and non Ive tired produced this message, @muffinman its cool it does look like stock from the screen shot i posted:mrgreen:lol
