Well i'm using dlink which is a bit more advanced vs netgear and linksys in terms of features and how the router works. I have the Dlink DIR-655 which has all those options...some others don't.

If your router is capable of Mac filtering and doing a DHCP pool...having your SSID broadcasting should be a problem...you would have double redudancy. Since i've done that to mine I havn't had any attacks or people sniffin my router...even if they tried my router would lock out their MAC Id...
