4G in New York
 

I'm not sure if anyone witnessed this but while I was arriving at the Jamaica LIRR train station to transfer to the one going into penn station, I happened to look at my phone for the time and noticed on the notification bar it said 4G network available. I pretty much had a fair signal through the whole ride until entering the tunnel.

If there is anyone in the area, try it out. Maybe there still testing or maybe they will launch 4G soonin New York. Didn't notice this posted anywhere else.

Dammit...im in westchester. i keep my 4g on all day everyday waiting for a signal..

You can get 4G in Citi Field...about the only place I've seen my phone get 4G signal

still being rolled out - nothing yet out on the island beyond Queens :(

I got it scattered across brooklyn, different places...and good signal too...got some around prospect park and kings county hospital.....

Ive mentioned this a few times, in Ozone Park Queens I get 1 bar in my house. At the train station above ground I get full service. I also got 1 bar on the boardwalk in Coney Island

Have anyone of you actually been able to obtain an IP on the 4G network and use the data network?

You can get 4G in the mets stadium at Coney Island, poor to fair signal. Otherwise, I think it's being intermittently tested throughout the city.

yes. Running the speed test.net app Ive gotten close to 6 mbps in Queens
