How to Root after 2.2 update?

Ok, installed the Official Froyo OTA update, how do I do a full root after this update?

unfortunenately the word is do not update if you want to root since the official release has not been rooted as of yet

Yeah pretty much. The general consensus on this sort of this is to never ever install an OTA, always wait a few hours for a rooted version to come along and flash that instead. Otherwise it could be days, or weeks before you get your root back.

you couldnt wait like 2 days for the rooted safe version to come out, heck i think i downloaded the not final one on saturday night that was rooted to give me a taste for it.

Now the only option is to sit back and hope it gets rooted soon
