How do I get FROYO .6 when I already installed .3??
 

I cant seem to get the OTA to work. I installed .3 a few days prior, and it keeps telling me I am up to date... Any ideas on how I get around this?

Last I knew HTC said theyll let early updaters get the update "in the coming days"

There is no way around it, we have to wait for HTC to make it available to those of us who updated prematurely.

HTC posted this yesterday on twitter "If you applied the unofficial EVO update, we are working to get you back on the official track. We will get back to you in the coming days."

Tried downgrading via RUU using the stock shipped file linked in upgrades. Didn't work, wrong bootloader version. Also tried recovery, renamed latest .6 to update.zip.. Didn't work, Error status 7.

Stuck waiting..

EDIT: Just tried a data wipe, restore to factory.. That didn't work either...

Its been said over and over if you used the .3 update and not the rooted version of it then youre stuck until htc comes out with a fix. Maybe this will make yall appreciate maintaining root lol

It makes me appreciate companies who simply add all possible versions to an update checker... how hard would it be for the OTA to check for .3 instead of .6.... I bet it only verifies 2.2....

Someone from HTC told me that the over the air update dont work on the .3 version. You have to go to a sprint with a repair center to downgrade you.
