What THE...EVO battery just reached 50.9 degrees

For the first time ever I just saw my evo get up 2 over 50 degrees for the first time ever, has any1 seen a battery temp this hot?

I didnt check the actual temp but my evo got crazy hot around noon today for no apparent reason. I was just charging it and it started heating up. I checked for apps running and there wasnt anything that would make it get so hot. It has since cooled down and theres no apparent lasting damage thankfully.

Mine gets around 45 sometimes. Only when I am charging it and running wireless tether at the same time though. Yours was probably that hot because it was plugged in.

Yikes, mine doesn't get that high when charging + Tethering.

But Celsius sounds cosmo and Euro!
Mines at 94.5 and I'll have you know thats good ol' "merican temps,no sir no fancy pants frilly shirt imported temperatures for my phone!!

lmao.. The C and F delimna ! I find myself often doing a "96-32/1.8" or similar deal to tell friends abroad what the temp outside is.

I don't monitor my temps but mine heated up for no reason too yesterday. I did a clear storage on it and plan to format the SD card today. So far no more hot potato.
