Voice input to text in text messaging gone in 2.2?
 

I Just downloaded and installed the 2.2 rooted update and now my button with the little microphone that I could press and get voice input is missing... instead there's an "En" for english or "Es" for spanish text... any idea how to get my voice input button back?

Mine is OMJ not stock sorry... does this help? I really use the mic a lot :-(

I guess thats a feature they builder decided he didn't want...guess is use a different Rooted Rom..

not sure if youve figured it out yet but, the mic on the keyboard has been replaced with an en and or es like you said. the same thing happened to mine and after playing with it for awhile. i found that opening up a text message as if you were going to type one. where you would compose your message., hold down your finger on the body area of the message and a popup will appear giving you input options. choose the opposite option that is currently running and it should solve this problem. the mic on the keyboard will then re appear.

if above doesn't work pm I have a keyboard that u can install that works and have the voice input on it
