So, if I updated with the 2.2 update from the HTC website today, can I still do this? Probably not huh. No biggie. I like my phone the way it is

Ahh I can't wait will be my first OMJ Rom!!!
Yes runs great and the FPS fixs seems to be solid on froyo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726854 BUT IT BREAKS REAR CAMERA!

If you flashed the earlier non rooted then your not rooted now and can not flash anything until and IF a root exploit comes along.

Wifi tether is working for me.
There have been some people saying it's not but I bet it's user error.

DROID X MULTITOUCH DOES NOT WORK :(
Swype DOES :)
Anyone notice how this thread just got ignored cause with all the crap no one believed it was real!!!

try one of these the second one would be the best one

it will flash back you phone to stock so u can reroot and install the rotted 2.2

not 100% sure if it will let you revert back but worth a shot

That's kinda why I bumped it up. The other thread is too hard to follow. My head hurts from reading so much. Haha

That's sounds scary. I don't think it will work since this was a firmware update, not a software update. Thanks for looking out though. I'm fine waiting for an exploit.

I say if an exploit is found, but considering how fast the last OTA was rooted and that this update isn't out yet but it's rooted already I don't think you will have a very long wait!
