DO NOT!! install the leaked HTC froyo

per HTC do not install it. it is not complete. it was released to soon

if you do so , install at your own risk.

just saying. so far i havent had any issues except it either gave me superuser permission icon and hard reseting did not take it away.

It's been very good so far on my Evo.. I don't sweat the root thing so its not a big deal.

Fast as hell...more features, more controls.

Guess I can always install the "official" release if its proven or listed as better.

Don't ignore them. He's just trying to be helpful. I installed and its working great, but that message did come from HTC not the OP so its still use at your own risk.

Using rooted version of Froyo... no problems to report. Also source OP?

From Engadget:

Update: HTC just shot us a message to clarify that this is not the final ROM version and that the company is strongly recommending not to install this. Additionally, a request has been put in to remove the file from the server, so if you still want to try at your own risk, better download now while it's still available.

@unrevoked HTC says not to install the EVO ROM that showed up earlier today. There may be another revision before official release

------------

it was originally rooted but it should have still wiped out my traces of root. it didnt.

its ok for now built in usb tethering for sure doesnt work. sprints out to rape more money from us
