Text Message Notifications During Phone Calls
 

Am I the only one that can't hear the text messaging notifications during phone calls? I can't hear text messages, emails, etc. Does anyone how to enable or rectify this issue?

There is no way to know if you get a new text etc, while on a call using the stock messaging app. You will have to use a third party app like handcent or chomp sms.

Is your notification volume setting all the way up? i know i can hear mine when im on the phone...

My notification volume is all the way up and there is never a notification sound for texts when on a call. I just try and remember to pull the phone away and check the screen every so often.

@ Mystery, I have a friend that says he hears his notification, not sure if a 3rd pty app is being used. Another friend does not have app and doesn't get notification.
@ Blitz, Yes the volume is all the way up. IDK that the deal is.
@Blkhwkz, I hate randomly looking at the device only to notice a txt mssage. But overall, I am still loving the phone.

I hear mine an i use handcent..no other sms app matters to me.

I'm using the stock text app and while im in a call my phone vibrates no audio though.

same prob for me. no sound, no vibrate. stock, volume turned all the way up. annoying.

I have this problem as well. It's actually very annoying. I hope Froyo fixes this.

I used to have that problem until I switched to Handcent
