Taking my Evo to Sprint Repair center

I keep having Bluetooth disconnect issues. sprint wants me to take the phone to repair center the question is my phone is rooted. What stock Rom should I flash so I can get my root back and how can I make it so they can't tell my phone had been rooted thank you.

Make sure you back up well, because they might re-write your phone. But I wouldn't be afraid to take it in rooted, since that is how it is when you are having the issue. You won't get thrown in jail with the people who tear the tags off their mattresses

If you're just rooted and still using stock sprint then I don't see how they can really say anything against your phone being rooted. Wasn't there a law that just passed that makes it legal to root or jailbreak your phone.

If you wanna be safe though and want to relock it, I would go with the same stock Sprint rom build you have on it now.

The law simply means that they can't sue you for rooting or jailbreaking. It doesn't mean they have to honor warranty issues if you are rooted.

If you pull up the programs they'll see the superuser icon and they will know its rooted. On top of that they will probally blame all the bluetooth problems on your using a custom rom but it did the same with a stock rom. so i should back everything up and flash with the stock evo root 1.47 rom is there any way they can find out if the phone is unlocked. I just don't want them to be like you rooted your warrenty is void have a good day. Knowing sprint they may pull something like that. Any suggestions

Have you tried going back to stock without rooting to see if the bluetooth issue resolves itself? I've heard issues with rooting...but thats just my take on it. Try before you take back to Repair Center.

Even when I had stock before I rooted and now I have stock and rooted, bluetooth stack was crap.

I have to take mine in next week and I was just planning on flashing a rooted 47 ROM and not add anything to it and just remove the superuser app..

They wont be able to tell and shouldnt notice a difference.
