Latest Qik update problem
From my own personal experience and from a few posts I have read here and over at xda... it seems that the latest Qik update causes an annoying little glitch in our phones...
It happens as follows.... if you long press your Home button to bring up the recent apps, you will lose your default launcher settings (HTC sense or otherwise). As soon as you hit Home to get back to your main screen, you will be prompted to choose which launcher you wish to complete the action. Checking the default button does nothing. As of this post there is no known fix other than to remove the Qik app... I suggest Fring as a substitute. End of line |
Re: Latest Qik update problem
I have noticed that also Its a real PITA

Yeah same here so I gave up on QiK.

Re: Latest Qik update problem
I just figured I'd put it out there since it keeps getting mention buried in various threads....
I think most of us do the upgrades 4+ at a time which can make it hard to nail down what app actually caused the glitch |
Re: Latest Qik update problem
Not happening on froyo cyanogenmod. Qik looks better then fring, but has that stupid talk button on the receivers side. At least the sound quality is better this way.

Re: Latest Qik update problem
Qik is seriously a piece of crap...I've maybe got it to work twice, between three different EVO's, all have the latest update, click on the person to call, it just sits there, other person never gets alerted...terrible app.

Re: Latest Qik update problem
I uninstalled it... I never use it anyway since its only for evo to evo and most of the people I know use fring. Serves no purpose anymore for me.
