How to get back to PRI Version: 1.40_003 from PRI Version: 1.39_003
 

I did a initial root on 1.32.651.1 and PRI stayed at 1.40_003. Everything on the phone ran smoothly and 3g stayed fully connected all the time.

After doing a second root to 1.47.651.1 my PRI changed to 1.34_003, now I can hardly stay connected to 3g.

Does anyone know how to get back to PRI Version: 1.40_003.

At this time the only way to get PRI version 1.4 is to flash the stock sprint ruu and loose root.

Nope, i tried to install the ruu from sprint and i didnt get back the pri 1.40

did you get back to the original shipped rom and lost root? and it still said pri 1.34? I noticed this post today regarding a way to get back since many have not even been able to get back to the shipped rom: http://www.forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpo...7&postcount=79

I don't remember what PRI I had, but here is what I used on a daily basis, before jumping over to Cyanogen.

It was a rooted version of the 1.47 update, with the most recent boot, recovery, system, userdata, microprocessor, radio, and wimax firmwares. Only the HBOOT was not updated, to keep the eng build one, so you can have an unlocked nand.

The link above assumes you have the engineering HBOOT. With the phone off, hold down vol down, and power, and look for HBOOT-0.76.2000.

I used the original ruu and I lost the root and I still have the pri 1.39

well it sounds like you are also pri 1.34 then as I did the same thing. It appears this does update everything but hboot and pri.

thanks, ok so you returned to the original shipped rom (RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_rel e ase_171253.exe), then did you update to latest ota shipped via ota(through settings) or the ruu listed here:

and then check your pri? Sorry for interogation :-) but was curious if you did this and if the pri updates then.

I used a P36IMG zip file to go to 1.47 and updated the radios. I still have the 1.34 pri. You can read more here:

ok that was what I wanted to clarify. you used the rooted stock rom, not the shipped rom from the links above. so that is why you are still on 1.34.

Is no way to get back pri 1.40, I used the ruu 1.47 in the phone that I sent back to sprint hopping to get back the pri back to the original and did not work and I don't know if they are going to complain bc I rooted the phone.
As right now sprint can see if we rooted the phones. my miss my hero, was so easy to work with, to many problems with the evo!! my 2 cents!

yep, I understand. I was just trying to clarify that you were not using the actual shipped rom, which in the thread I posted, the guy was able to get back to shipped unrooted rom according to his post. maybe if you pm him, he can give more details. Oh well, not sure since I haven't tried it.

What I remember I tried to use that shipped rom, but I could not used bc the rom did not see my phone and I installed new driver, tried different computers and nothing so I extracted the image file from that rom and I installed the zip, everything was stock but the pri was the same 1.34.

The only thing that I know is that my 3g is half of what used to be before I rooted the phone. I am running stock rooted I have wipe my phone I lot the times to see if I was doing something wrong!
