Re: WMP Sync for Music
Your analysis is dead-on. WMP wil not see the Evo as a phone, and I have tried everything. I have found a good workaround though.
I use MediaMonkey with the Evo. Install MM, point it to your music collection, and let it populate its database. Make sure during the initial setup that MM does not make changes to the files. Then after connecting the Evo as a disk drive go to Tools | Options | Portable/Audio Devices in MM. Select the Evo SD card under Available Devices and click Configure, then the Device configuration tab. Set it up like the attached image, and it will copy the album art and/or playlists to the phone. Works great, and I can keep my music in WMP. Brent |

Re: WMP Sync for Music
I just figured out an even BETTER workaround. I took the WMP file from the root of my Touch Pro 2 and copied it to the root of my evo replacing it. So now, when WMP reads it, it knows its a phone and all my playlists synced without even setting it up.
IF you have trouble I have attached the file. Just place on the root of the storage card and WMP will sync album art and playlists!!!!!! It wouldn't let me upload, so i added .txt to the end. Hopefully just remove .txt and copy over and it should work. |
