My first one was perfectly fine, no issues at all, until I noticed the slit/crack. The replacement has been stellar.

No complaints thus far.

my first one was good for a month but after that I got several cracks one at the volume button and one at the power button not even mentioning the light leakage bu I had 2 separate full body protective devices on my phone and never dropped my phone. Now I woulda been ok with the refurbished unit but it too had a crack starting at the power button so.........

Re: Official frame cracking thread

I've been complaining about this crack since I got the phone and no one knew what I was talking about. Now, I have a case on it and it doesn't bother anything so I'm leaving it there. Tried to exchange it earlier and got tired of everyone being oblivious and confused.

Re: Official frame cracking thread

Yeah in regards to whoever asked (think it was warchild) I just got my replacement white one, it's better. It seems more solid, buttons "click", kickstand "clicks", and the screen isn't flush anymore with these new builds.

Re: Official frame cracking thread

I am surprised your White replacement didn't come with the froyo update already installed.

No i am much more impressed with this one. The screan is behind the frame on mine and the plastic seems thicker.

Latest Poll results on XDA.

View Poll Results: Is your EVO 4G cracked at the power button?
Yes 80 27.03%
No 216 72.97%
Voters: 296.

So far it is a known issue that Sprint will not acknowledge as being so...
